Artist's Comments
Okay. So I was on the train home one Friday night after my martial arts class at around nine o'clock. It had been an absolute roaster of a day and the air still had that ultraviolet heat haze in it. As I looked out the window the view was stunning, with lush green fields leading to the Ochill Hills (pronounced Oak-ill Hills) in the distance. It's little wonder Stirling is often thought of as the start of the Highlands.
This is really an attempt to capture the colurs and mood of that evening. Watercolour on A4 250gsm paper, about a hour and a half including drying times. |
